The Town of Teachey is located in the southwest corner of Duplin County
and is one square mile in size. Teachey is a small, but proud town
that has been in existence since 1874. With a population of 246, Teachey
is known for its festive Christmas light display and McMillan Victorian
Inn Bed & Breakfast.
The McMillan Victorian Inn Bed & Breakfast is a 1908 house refurbished
in 1998 into an attractive and comfortable bed and breakfast.
The house has four tastefully decorated bedrooms, each with a
private bath, television and telephone. A full, hot breakfast
is served each morning. The Inn is conveniently located just a
short distance from local shopping and dining in Wallace, and
a dinner theater at the Duplin Winery in Rose Hill.
Wilmington, NC is only a short drive for more shopping, beaches and restaurants.
Teachey has recently installed a new sewer system to satisfy the
growth of the town over the upcoming years. The town also is home
to the Wallace-Rose Hill High School.
