
The mission of the Duplin County Arts Council includes the coordination, promotion and development of educational and cultural activities, more particularly those relating to the arts, including all means of self-expression in performing, non-performing and instructional arts.

They accomplish their mission through:
- Arts Programs and/or Performances for all Fifteen Public Schools in the County
- Summer Programs for Children, Including Theater Workshops
- Seasonal Craft Workshops for Adults
- Seasonal Craft Workshops for Children
- Partnering with James Sprunt Community College, Duplin Outdoor Drama and Other Community Organizations to Bring in Community Performances/Events
- Sponsorship of Trips to Visit Significant Art Exhibits and Events
- Serves as a Clearinghouse for State and Regional Arts Information to Local Artists
