Duplin County Health Department's mission is to provide prevention and protection measures to ensure the health of the community and the environment. The staff of this department includes the health director, Registered Nurses, health educators, maternal outreach workers, translators, lab staff, environmental health specialist, nutritionist, physician extenders, pediatrician and clerical.
Duplin County Health Services is a multi-faceted agency that strives to make Duplin County a healthier and safer community in which to work and live. We actively strive to develop and implement programming that best suits the health needs of the community.

As an effort to keep abreast of Duplin County's health needs, representatives from the health department actively serve on a wide variety of community committees. Representatives also participate in community events such as health fairs, fundraiser's and panel discussions. Every effort is made to keep the public informed of health information and health related news through community wide press releases in local media.
We have a qualified bi-lingual staff to provide interpreter services to Duplin County Health Services clients enhancing communication during direct service delivery.
The health department accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance and payments based on a sliding fee scale with proof of income.
