The Duplin County Maintenance Department consists of five employees that are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of approximately 35 county buildings and their surrounding grounds. The department is also responsible for working with various department heads to determine renovation and repair needs as well as working with outside vendors to solicit proposals/bids for projects. In some instances, the maintenance department completes the work with other county staff members and is also responsible for upkeep of all heating and cooling systems. Currently, one of the department staff members is state certified in heating and cooling repair.
