Welcome to Duplin County Register of Deeds

Hello,

Welcome to the Office of the Duplin County Register of Deeds website.  The Register of Deeds serves as the custodian and manager for real estate related documents as well as the vital records of the county. We record deeds, deeds of trust, powers of attorney, assumed names, military records, plats and maps, and other miscellaneous documents related to real property. In addition, the office also maintains the records of all notary public commissions; issue marriage licenses and certified copies of birth and death certificates.

I am proud to say that this office has existed since the organization of our county's government in 1750. The Register of Deeds is an elected official who serves four-year terms in office.  The people of Duplin County have honored me by allowing me to serve as their Register of Deeds since 2000.

Please feel free to navigate this site to learn more about the services offered by my office.    In addition, most of the official public records maintained by the Duplin County Register of Deeds, including real property, birth, death, marriage, and maps, may be searched on-line at http://rod.duplincounty.org .

We are committed to providing an office that assures quality public service and professionalism with an open and friendly atmosphere.  Customer service and satisfaction are always our ultimate goals.  If there is ever anything that my staff or I can assist you with please feel to call on us at anytime.

Sincerely,

Register of Deeds
