Duplin County Water Department is located at 119 Middleton Cemetery Lane Kenansville, NC.  The Office is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Monday thru Friday.

The Duplin County water system presently has 13 elevated storage tanks, 14 ground water wells and 4 booster pumps station which pumps water thru out the county. On an average day, the Water Department delivers approximately 1,600,000 gallons of water to 6,800 customers. The Duplin County Water System is permitted to operate by the State of North Carolina under Public Water System I.D. number 04-31-085. This insures the water is treated and tested by State and Federal Laws.

Duplin County Water Department is staffed by; Utility Director, Water System Superintendent, Water Treatment Operator Specialist, and Water Technicians. The office personnel consist of; Office Manger and 3 Water Assistants.

Our constant goal is to provide our customers with a safe and dependable supply of water. The Water Department is committed to ensuring the quality of water as required by State and Federal Laws.

The billing process for the purchase of water from the Duplin Water System is as follows. Meters are read by the 15th of every month. Bills are sent out to customers no later than the 5th of each month. Payment can be made by mail to: DCUS PO Box 988 Kenansville, NC 28349, set up for monthly draft or come by the Water Department at the above address and pay at the windows. Accounts not paid in full by the due date are subject to have service being discontinued on the 11th of the following month. If the water is turned off for nonpayment a reconnect fee of $40.00, and a $100.00 deposit if applicable, plus the entire amount of the bill shall be paid before water service is reinstated.
