Come celebrate the majestic Muscadine during the Muscadine Harvest Festival set for October 1, 2005 at Duplin Commons in Kenansville , NC. Committee Members are planning a fun-filled event with activities for all to enjoy. Some featured attractions include hot air balloon and children's amusement rides, cooking contests, and off-site plantation and vineyard tours. Enjoy Beach Music concerts featuring Tommy Black and the Blooz, Band of Oz, Johnny Dollar Band, and The Embers.

Duplin County Agribusiness Council is proud to showcase the Native Muscadine Grape through wines, food, and health products. "The Duplin County Agribusiness Council is excited to help host the first NC Muscadine Harvest Festival," says Dexter Edwards, Council President. "The Muscadine is a growing agricultural enterprise for eastern NC and especially Duplin County," Edwards added. "We are particularly happy to be involved with the inaugural festival at Duplin Commons. This festival promises to be the first of many events at this important venue."
