Community Toy Drive

The Teachey Volunteer Fire Department will be holding its first annual Community Toy Drive from October 1 through December 3. New toy donations can be made each Thursday night between the hours of 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. at the Teachey Volunteer Fire Department located at 4900 Hwy. 117 South, Teachey (Duplin County).

On December 3, the Community Toy Drive will end with a special Christmas concert headlined by NC Native and Grammy/Dove Award Winner Michael English. The concert is at 7:00 p.m. at Kenan Memorial Auditorium in Kenansville, NC (NC Hwy. 11, North). Tickets are limited, so buy yours now and help out this great community project. All ticket holders are encouraged to bring a NEW toy to donate to the Community Toy Drive .

Also performing will be local favorites Jimmy Matthews, Brandy Hughes, and Living Will. Master of Ceremonies will be NC Senator, Charlie Albertson . All proceeds will go to benefit the Teachey Volunteer Fire Department and the 2005 Community Toy Drive .
