Commissioner Arliss Albertson made a motion to hire Interim County Manager Mike Aldridge as the County Manager for Duplin County effective immediately. The other four commissioners in attendance at Monday's board meeting were in agreement.

Aldridge accepted the position thanking the commissioners for their vote of confidence. "I will try to do the job to the best of my ability," stated Aldridge. Aldridge has worked for the county as planning director for eighteen years.
