Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster recovery programs are not just for businesses but for homeowners and renters, too.

SBA may be able to assist you with a long-term low-interest loan, if you have:

•  a credit history acceptable to SBA (unlike traditional loan companies)

•  The ability to repay your loan

•  Collateral for loans over $10,000.00. SBA uses real estate as collateral when it is available. You will not be declined a loan for lack of collateral.

Types of loans available:

•  Home Loans

•  Based on damages real property loans are available for up to $200,000.00 for repair or replacement. (This loan is available to homeowners only).

•  Based on damages to personal property loans are available for up to $40,000.00 for repair or replacement. (This loan is available to homeowners and renters).

NOTE: These loans are available at 3.125%. The maximum term is up to 30 years .

•  Business Loans – The law limits business loans up to $1,500,000 for the repair and replacement of real estate, inventories, machinery, equipment and all other physical losses. Subject to this maximum, loan amounts cannot exceed the verified uninsured disaster loss.
