Duplin County operates the Arts Council that is responsible for coordinating and promoting educational and cultural activities throughout the year. Particularly, they work with events that relate to the arts, including all means of self-expression in performing, non-performing and instructional arts.

Throughout the year the Arts Council holds various: Arts Programs and/or Performances for the Public Schools Summer Programs for Children, Including Theater Workshops Seasonal Craft Workshops for Adults Seasonal Craft Workshops for Children Community Performances/Events Trips to Visit Significant Art Exhibits and Events And Offers State and Regional Arts Information to Local Artists
