Duplin County Emergency Services exist to consistently provide service to the community which preserves life, improves health and promotes the safety of our citizens and visitors who live, work and play in Duplin County. Our mission is accomplished through a systems approach focused on providing timely responses; high quality patient care services; public awareness and education; proactive safety interventions; and readiness to respond at all times.
General Services: The Duplin County Emergency Services Department is made up of three divisions, Emergency Management (includes Fire Marshal Office) , E-911 Communications ( includes E-911 Addressing) and Emergency Medical Services (EMS). The department is located at 209 Seminary Street in Kenansville, NC. Bob Houston is the Director of Emergency Services, Matt Barwick serves as the Emergency Management Coordinator /Fire Marshal, Chris Vernon is E-911 Communications Coordinator and Brandon McMahon is the EMS Operations Officer. The Emergency Services Department works closely with the various fire departments and EMS squads to provide the best emergency services to the citizens of Duplin County.
The Emergency Services also works with Emergency Management during and after disasters either natural or man-made and will also work with all departments involved in the response and recovery effort until the mission is complete.
