Duplin County NC

Health Services

Mission Statement:

To provide prevention, promotion and protection measures to ensure the health of the community and environment by identifying and reducing health risks in the community; detecting, investigating and preventing the spread of disease; and promoting and providing the availability and accessibility of quality health care services in partnership with the community.

Duplin County Health Department and Vidant Duplin Hospital participate in the Regional Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). We are part of the 33 eastern counties that are participating in this initiative. CHNA is on a three-year cycle and is used to identify priority health issues and to plan interventions to build healthier communities in Duplin County. We are currently collecting 2021 CHNA Surveys. Please take this anonymous survey to help us identify the areas we need to improve on to better the health of our residents.
