Zoning and Land Use:
Duplin County has various land use ordinances in effect; however, it does not currently have countywide zoning. Municipalities in Duplin County have zoning within their town limits and extra-territorial jurisdictions (ETJ). If you need assistance determining if a property is in the county’s jurisdiction or within

a town’s jurisdiction, please call or email the Planning Department with the address or parcel number. If the parcel is within a town’s jurisdiction, please contact the town hall directly to obtain the applicable zoning information.
